Mariners should be aware of the following channel and bridge opening information for travel at the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge:
The western half of the channel under the bridge is currently open for marine travel with horizontal clearance of 37.5 feet. This restriction will remain through May 25, 2025.
There will be no bridge openings 4/21/25 – 4/30/25. The western half of the channel will be open with vertical clearance of 15 feet at Mean High Water (MHW) and 18.5 feet at Mean Low Water (MLW).
There will be no bridge openings 5/5/25 – 5/8/25. The western half of the channel will be open with vertical clearance of 15 feet at MHW and 18.5 feet at MLW.
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has jurisdiction over the navigational channel. USCG has granted permission for the partial closure of the channel and for the temporary deviations from normal drawbridge operations. Monmouth County must comply with the dates approved by the USCG.
Dates and times are subject to change based on weather conditions and production factors.
