Mariners should be aware of the following schedule for travel under the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge. Dates and times are subject to change based on weather conditions.
Both leaves (bascule spans) of the new bridge are currently in the down position.
As of 7 a.m. on Saturday 2/22/25, the navigational channel under the bridge is scheduled to be open with horizontal clearance of 75 feet.
From 3 p.m. on Saturday 2/22/25 until 6 a.m. on Monday, 2/24/25, the channel will be fully open for marine traffic and the horizontal clearance will be 75 feet.
As of 6 a.m. on Monday 2/24/25, only the western half of the channel is scheduled to be open for travel with horizontal clearance of 37.5 feet.

The US Coast Guard (USCG) approved the Fall 2024-Spring 2025 schedule for full and half channel closures necessary for installation of the new bridge spans. Please see the Public Notice Update – 11/8/24 for anticipated full and half closure dates.
